Lorna is the rather proud guardian and publican of the Bay Horse since 2020. Lorna sees to the Pub and her partner Jack sees to the kitchen cooking up delicious food!

This 17th-century building houses the third oldest Inn in York . Records suggest the infamous Dick Turpin was captured here before meeting his fate!

More than just a pub, The Bay Horse is a gathering place for friends, families and visitors to York. We pride ourselves on true northern hospitality and cosy atmosphere.

A beautiful south facing beer garden awaits for dining or drinks with background music and sometimes a BBQ in the summer months!

Dogs are welcome and even have their own menu and treats! However, dogs are not allowed in the guest rooms (sorry)!

We look forward to seeing you!
